Made a stop at Barista by Givrés for a quick lunch and I was super impressed by the presentation of their food! — So beautifully presented that I didn’t really want to eat it! All of their toasts with avocado are presented in their signature rose shape, making them super instagrammable but also easy to eat because they’re already cut into thin slices! There was a good amount of cream cheese on this that didn’t mask the flavours of all the other elements which I liked. The amount of smoked salmon on this was slightly underwhelming, only a very thin half slice. Not to mention it didn’t taste like much, quite bland and not that fresh. The beet hummus was nice, but goddamn that is the tiniest dollop of hummus I’ve seen in my life 😂 could've been more generous. Really enjoyed the pistachio dukkah, that was made with a fragrant blend of herbs, nuts and spices that helped elevate the taste of the toast as a whole.

— If I’m honest, I didn’t know this was going to be coffee and thought it would be tea based as it was sectioned away from usual coffee drinks you’re used to seeing on a drinks menu, so that’s something to keep in mind! This was alright, coffee was quite fragrant but slightly too acidic for me. The charcoal powder was incorporated well and there were no signs of gritty/grainy bits in the coffee.
Overall rating:
😋Taste is very average, nothing mind blowing, I would say most people are coming for the aesthetically pleasing food, price is quite expensive for the taste and the portion sizes aren’t that big either
📍Ambiance: - cute small cafe but seats are oriented slightly odd, can get quite squishy if packed, staff are friendly but a bit loud amongst themselves
