It was time for my friend Homie B to leave, so I went to see her off, but since I had some other busniess to take care of, I arrived a little early so I decided to go to Caffe Ritazza again.
Environment & Hygiene:
I love the music they play, but the staff really did have to work harder in keeping the place clean and presentable as it was very hard for me to find a clean table that didn't have dirty food trays on top.
Service:
Since I kinda ordered a unique drink, the staff made the effort to explain to me what it was and how to consume it, which I appreciated.
Taste & Value:
As I was deciding what to get, I saw that "Rossy Kiss" ($34) was awarded "Best Signature Drink" in "Caffe Ritazza World Barista CHampionship 2013" . I l like rose flavoured things so I was excited to try it! It was a cute little drink that had espresso with some cream on top with some flakes of roses, served with a Turkish Delight on a flake of rose. The staff told me to first have a spoon of the cream before mixing it in with the espresso. The cream with the rose was quite good. It tasted as if the rose was infused into the cream. Then, I mixed the drink. I don't usually like espresso by itself, so mixing the cream in was a good way for me to consume it. The coffee tasted quite strong, and it was interesting to have rose bits in every sip I took. I enjoyed it and liked the presentation of the drink a lot, but towards the end, I found the drink to be a bit too sweet; probably because the Turkish Delight was also sweet. Although it had a floral flavour, it was still too sweet for my taste. Also, I don't like candy that gets stuck on my teeth. However, the snack did compliment the drink well. Final Verdict:
It is a drink worth trying!
Other Info. :
