... and I'm not talking about the sea breeze. Most dishes we had were heavy-handedly sprinkled with salt (even the salad and soup), so much so that we had to constantly ask for water. But otherwise, the food was prepared well, comparable to the Central restaurant's standard, but the service was a little bit haphazard, such as only getting one glass of water for the two of us.

We ordered 2 $178 set meals, giving us a choice for the more expensive items on the menu. We went for the tuna tartare which was beautifully presented with a sunny side up quail egg, a garlic and pepper prawn which looked good and was fresh but unfortunately was surprisingly bland (couldn't taste the garlic or the pepper heat), the daily special lamb meatballs which was very juicy despite the texture being a bit firm, and was accompanied by a what I would call a North African or Morrocan-influenced sauce (rather than spicy as advertised) that was tumeric-coloured and slightly curried (we dug in before we remembered to take a photo). Then there was the 2 bites of braised beef cheeks, which despite only getting one mouthful per person, was a lovely tender morsel of dark meat sitting on top of a green pea puree and a caramelised sauce. We didn't stop at that and continued to attack the a la carte menu, ordering the perfectly charred pimentos (with plenty visible flakes of sea salt), and a grilled chicken that was succulent and tender, which had some lovely grilled mushrooms underneath but alas again too salty for us. Dessert was churros in chocolate sauce, which rounded off the lunch well.

I'd say it's not the cheapest place for lunch, looking around the tortillas and jamon were popular choices among customers, but it would have been too heavy for two girl's lunch option. The paellas however came in tapas-sized plates, so carbo-loaders can enjoy them without feeling gluttonous.
