Service with an attitude

Asking for extra plates got me some attitude from the middle-aged server who muttered a few Tagalog words while laying down three plates on our table. I was too embarrassed to speak of what I felt to my Canadian-Chinese boss and British-Chinese colleague who were with me during lunch so I just had to suck it up until the end of the meal.
