There is always something new in Kwai Chung Plaza. This labyrinth of street snacks, sometimes creative, sometimes curious and sometimes down right scary. But one thing is for sure. There's something for everyone and it's super cheap. So, every once in a while, boyfriend and I go on a foodie adventure through this maze of food.Chok 雞 (English name: Chok Chick) is something new we came across. Chok 雞 (English name: Chok Chick) is something new we came across. A small take away only counter that sold fried chicken.
Menu is in Chinese only. But basically they sell deep fried chicken nuggets and chicken wings. It's made to order so there is a wait time.
They have a row of different flavor spices. You use that to flavor your chicken pieces.
We ordered 6 chicken nuggets for $28. It came in a bag. We chose our flavor combinations by scooping it into the bag. Seal it up and shake like there is no tomorrow to coat the nuggets.
This is the nugget. We coated it with garlic, cheese and cumin powder. It was piping hot!
Coating wasn't too thick and just crispy enough. The meat was JUICY! Moist and tender. The garlic and cheese combination was fantastic! As boyfriend wanted spicy, the staff said there were two bags so we could split the nuggets easily so he can flavor spicy for himself. How convenient!
This place is great. Yummy snack food and generous on the flavor spices. The staff was friendly, too and gave great suggestions on what combinations was the best. Will be back!
