For someone who enjoys nicknaming people and places, I have given Kimberly Street the titles of Wedding Dress Street and Korean Street, for the fact that it gathers so many wedding dress stores and Koreans living and running Korean restaurants here. A unique hub right next to the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui city centre, but not as busy --- somewhere grants you a rare chance to avoid the "mountain people mountain sea" mob in Hongkong. And here my friend and I enjoyed a dinner at LAB EAT, such an interestingly-named western dining place right next to a high school. Surprised to know the owners of this restaurant are sommeliers, I immediately understand why the wine menu here is so rich in varieties and full of professional notes. RP, JS, these notes give you an idea which of these wines are being complimented by which of the internationally notable wine critics. They also have Macallan and LOTS OF LOTS OF seasonal cocktails already prepared for their valuable customers to greet Summer heat.

Surrounded by wine decor under dimly lit atmosphere, we did not order wines but a 1664 (58HKD small bottle) and a Maccallan 18 years with ice ball (168HKD) this time.

Oysters were served alongside our alcohol: Guillardeau, Romandy and Magical (excuse me for not remembering the exact names). Relatively more salty they are than usual.

The breads and olive oil are not that impressive at this pricing standard but the wines compensate all doubts.

Waygu A5 is so juicy and yummy for me. A bit small with quite unimpressive sides for this price, but the beef is well-executed.

This cod fish risotto is very milky and creamy with big round and slightly chewy rice which add up a complex texture. Delighted to see the plentiful and huge asparpagus among the risotto. The cod is dry, which my friend fell into a loving affair with it.

The main dishes are delicious overall. I would say it's a good place for wine lovers and diners get sophisticated advice on beginner level as they specifically include a few of the easier-drinking wines for beginners, though not limited to it.
