To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. I love shrimp toast. I don't know why as I'm not a big fan of fried items. But when it's shrimp meat on toast and then fried....be still my heart!

So, when I saw that Cafe de Coral had this on their afternoon tea menu, I had to get it. You can combine it with various items. I chose with an apple salad. I got a pretty big slice of toast with a shrimp on top. It was fried but didn't taste like a mouthful of oil. However, there didn't appear to be stuffed with any sort of shrimp meat. The only shrimp meat was the one piece of shrimp in the middle. The rest was all bread. I felt a bit sad. I don't think I'd order this set again. The salad was ok. It was basically mayo with diced apples and a few pieces of potato.
