I came here in the afternoon to grab an eggtart ($6) and sugar puff($6) for a snack and was expecting a huge line, but I got lucky and only had to wait about 10 minutes. The eggtarts from Tai Cheong are famous for their silky smooth texture and their rich egg flavour, and they certainly live up to the hype. Unlike many other eggtarts typically found in Hong Kong which uses a puff pastry tart shell, Tai Cheong uses a crumbly cookie-like crust. That doesn't mean it's better or worse than the other

That doesn't mean it's better or worse than the other eggtarts, but definitely allows it to stand out from the rest. Their sugar puffs have a delicious fluffy texture and are lightly dusted with sugar all over. Highly recommend trying both items!
