We had dinner at my grandma's Saturday night, and a distant cousin brought some snowy mooncakes to share amongst us!I tried the milk cheese flavor and purple sweet potato flavor ones.  Both had a slight chewy outer layer that was less chalky than the ones I had in the past, but it wasn't as chewy as mochi.The milk cheese flavor snowy mooncake had a thick filling that tasted more like cheesecake than a combination of milk and cheese flavors like the name suggests.  My brother said that the cheese

 I preferred the purple sweet potato flavor snowy mooncake over the others.  The filling was thick and smooth and had a strong purple sweet potato flavor.

I used to shy away from snowy mooncakes because I always thought they had a bland chalky crust, but not anymore!
