The sticky rice ($36) itself is flavorsome, still soft but with occasional crunchy bits, dotted with pork belly, sweet sausage, liver sausage, scallions and dried shiitake mushrooms. The portion is not large, so you may need two - or a helping of cheung fun.

The cheung fun ($19) are some of the best this naive gweilo has ever had - meltingly soft but with crispy seared edges! The sauces - one spicy one sweet - take the cheung fun to the next level.

Some people think this place is expensive - but if that’s what it takes to keep this family fun place open then that’s fine with me. The owner is super nice too - he was chill when I didn’t have enough 💵 and had to run to a nearby bank.

Perfect for quick breakfast, lunch or late-night snack!
