First off, a note on décor. I don't think Nha Trang's restaurant decoration is in any way remarkable--it's pleasant, but in an invisible sort of way. However, I'm giving them an extra point in this category due to their exceptionally nice menu. Seriously, from a graphic design standpoint, it's super slick and clean and I feel happier any time a business gives their choice of menu paper a conscious thought. Husbandy and I came here for a light meal, so I regret not having more dishes to review. He got filet mignon pho, surprising in that it was still available after 8 PM, along with a glass of Saigon Export. I, in turn, had the stuffed squid starter with a too-sweet iced lime tea; but of course we wound up sharing everything.
The pho seems to be a customer favorite, as my wandering eyes couldn't help but notice that all but one of the neighboring tables had ordered some kind or another. In our case, the medium-rare filet was flavorful and added quite a bit to an already-rich beef bone stock. Without adding any condiments, the soup's other flavors were smooth and harmonized well. In short, this is a solid dish that I'd recommend for sure.
