Purely on the basis that I have a friend called Lennon we decided to try the Lennon fries here following a top 5 fries review on lifestyleasia.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was quite quiet. Some light music in the background was nice. Staff were really helpful in explaining the choices in English to us. We were also in happy hour so drinks were discounted and they have a good selection of crafty ales. I chose the milk stout ($45 happy hour) which was nice although a disappointingly small size. Wife chose the hitachino lager.

So to the food. I asked for the fries without mayo. It came quickly and was delicious. The bonito flakes were still moving when it arrive. The sauce at the bottom was delicious. Some kind of Japanese gravy. The 63 degree egg on top was not what I expected as the yolk was cold. I'm sure I've had this Onsen egg style before where it was warm. However once broken into and mixed with the fries you couldn't tell. It was delicious.

Wife chose the fried brussel sprouts. She said they were delicious but as a brussels hater I just tried the sauce. Have to say it was all delicious.

A very enjoyable experience and nice to get well thought of food at bank friendly prices. Will definitely return.
