I decided to try Zest because HK Magazine gave it a very good rating. The menu has a fair number of dishes that appeal - in this sense, it succeeded in the first step. however, step 2, execution, did not meet expectations. either the plates were too small or the ingredients were too busy. the dessert of roasted tomato and mascarpone tart was a nice combination as it served both the function of after-dinner cheese + dessert. they used local (china?) cherry tomatoes, and could have done better (like dutch cherry tomatoes) since the tomato is the focus of this dish.

ok but nothing to wow.
