Siete Ocho is the western restaurant in the newly opened Dorsett Kai Tak hotel. The restaurant serves Spanish food but with Sichuan elements! How interesting is that. The restaurant is modern and cozy, unlike the large dinning restaurants in other large 5 star hotels. I like the beige and burgundy color tone which resembles the Spanish feel. It was a comfortable and tranquil dinning environment. We went for the set dinner menu which allows you to taste different dishes in smaller portions.

We went for the set dinner menu which allows you to taste different dishes in smaller portions. Food was fantastic. While an authentic Spanish restaurant, the chef use many Sichuan spice like Sichuan pepper corn in the dishes that really enriched the flavors and made the taste unique. Learned that the Chinese chef actually worked in Spain for a few years and you can tell he really picked up the essence of Spanish cooking. The dessert, churros, looked standard but it was surprisingly delicious.
Almost forgot. The servers in the restaurant provided very good service and were all friendly with smiles on the faces. I would give a good rating for service quality too.
A great dinning experience overall. Don’t often write review nowadays unless a worthy restaurant. This explains why you see my post.
