Celebrating the feb/mar birthday buddies at this spanish restaurant, sitting in the middle of soho, I’m sure it must be bustling at night but amazingly quiet and peaceful on a Sunday afternoon. It was indeed a nice and warm space perfect for friend gatherings with small and big plates to share! I do understand tapas means small plates, but their tapas come in a tiny portion, much much smaller than we expected 😳, lucky we have a big enough group to share the price of a number of plates. I do understand tapas means small plates, but their tapas come in a tiny portion, much much smaller than we expected 😳, lucky we have a big enough group to share the price of a number of plates. Having said that, one bite is all it takes to win me over. The ultra crispy pig’s skin (at the most extreme spectrum of crisp you’ll ever get) was just addictive with the crackling noise transcended across the table.

Broken egg has become a must-eat spanish tapas. First tried it at the optimist, but this looks even more appealing! Sunny side up egg sits on top of potatos, chorizo, bell peppers and onions that built up an intense flavor. Mixing them all with the liquid egg yolk, it really didn’t get any better than that 😆

Seafood paella was a perfect share plate, I must admit this ain’t the best I’ve had, to me the paella was too moist and saucy. But their peri peri chicken and meat skewer were succulent and richly flavorful.

And we ordered a jar of red and white sangria for sharing. I gotta say it’s probably the least fruity one I’ve had, with very few fruits blending into it... yet it’s still very pricy, so I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Overall, the food portion were generally small with a pretty expensive price tag. Expect to order A LOT of dishes to fill your stomach, a piece of advice, gather a bigger group of friends.
