To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. we received a leaflet of a special promotion dinner set and the menu and the price sounded pretty tempting, so our family decided to have a try.we arrived there separately, and when nearly all of us were there (only 1 member still hadn't shown up), we ordered the set. the waiter asked us if we're ready to have the dinner served right now, and we said yes. but then after a some time, nothing has been served yet, so we told the waiter once again that we would like to have our food served now. but

finally, after some time, a dish was being served, but it's not according to the order of the of the menu.
the first dish served was the peking duck.

peking duck has always been one of our favorites. the duck's not bad, but i don't like how the crepes were all stuck together, it's pretty difficult to separate them and get one to wrap the duck to eat.
next was the shark fin's soup. each bowl has a chicken leg in it lol i wonder if some ppl won't like the sight of it in the soup..but anyway, speaking of chicken, the chicken meat in the soup is very tender, obviously being cooked in the soup for hours. the soup can bring out the flavor of the chicken, which is a good thing (: the food is pretty rich in the soup, but i'd say i'd expected a little bit more shark fin in it

then there comes the cheese udon with lobster. i liked the creamy texture of the cheese with the udon noodles, and of course with the lobster altogether. and i'm sure kids would love this dish very very much ;]

i'd say the flavor of the sea cucumber was not strong enough, i'd like to have a bit more sauce to stimulate the taste and flavor of this dish. and for the size of the sea cucumber..i think it's actually pretty small

for the crispy abalone roll, i think it's a disappointment. firstly, i can't taste a hint of abalone in it, but mushroom instead. secondly, the taste of water chestnut was way stronger than any other fillings. it didn't leave a good impression to me at all

another sea cucumber dish...again, i think the size of them was too small. but this dish was better than the previous one. and i liked the lettuce a lot in this dish, it's very sweet ;] and those meatballs were okay too. nonetheless, i have another little complaint about this dish is that i'd prefer the mushrooms to be a bit more tender.
next came the steamed fish. steamed fish could barely go terribly wrong, right? well, the meat was fresh and smooth indeed. however, i think the size of the fish is a little bit too small -_-

the lettuce wraps with duck was pretty impressive (: i liked it a lot. the duck was flavorful, and with the fresh lettuce, it gives a very good balance at the end of the entire meal.

always, these dinners end with lotus rice. the rice's flavorful, it's very nice indeed, and the kids loved it. however, i'd want to pick on the fact that the lotus scent was not very strong in the rice. the rice's good, but since it's called lotus rice, shouldn't there be a stronger hint of the lotus aroma? but the rice is satisfactory anyway ;P
the dinner came to a full end by being served with sweet red bean soup as dessert and fresh fruits. the dessert were okay, not bad. so that gave a full end to our meal. we were all very full, but i think there're some rooms for improvement, because as i recall, this restaurant serves pretty good food. i'd like to see if they really can keep the consistency of good quality of food.
