Originally I could visit earlier but it was closed due to typhoon. After some negotiations, got reschedule to an acceptable date. So here I am! Tried to reach them via Tai Kwun plaza. Realized there’s no sign at all. I was wandering for 10 mins before I could find the entrance. Arrived early so started the evening with a G&T at their garden. Luca greeted me nicely and served me the welcome champagne. There’s around 20 gin you can select. I had one Sipsmith gin and it was nice! The garden is quit

The garden is quite pleasant with lot of plants. It’s a great spot for some drinks and snacks.


After a glass, we proceed to the dining room.

The dining room is glamorous for sure. They also have some interesting paintings on the wall.


A guy approached us and checked if we need some recommendations. But at the end, he actually just read the menu once without introducing or recommending anything.

Shima Aji Crudo
All my friends know i love aji and i love crudo, ceviche or just sashimi. This is probably the leanest aji i had ever had. The dressing didn’t add any effects to the fish. Can’t taste the freshness, sweetness. Quite disappointed.

Prime Rib, served with Yorkshire Pudding
Prime rib is crusted with mustard and crispy onion. The crust is good seasoned. The meat is tender. Pretty decant dish.

The potato actually is my favourite dish of the night. It’s well seasoned and really crispy. Good match with the prime rib dressing.

Quite nice but pretty basis.


Service is ok but I feel it’s a bit overacting. Overall, i don’t think I will come back for the food again. The historical dining room itself is magnificent. Unfortunately the food can’t pair well with the environment. The garden is a good spot. Maybe I’ll come back for some more gin instead!
