Honbo means hamburger in Cantonese. This place is located on the Sun Street in Wan Chai. It offers some of the best burgers in HK. I would say better than Five Guys and Shake Shack. We went there for a quick dinner, friendly staff explained to us the menus and we ordered honbo 1.5 and gold standard, some sweet potato fries and cheesy fries were great sides, ginger lime lemonade was refreshing . The gold standard burger was awesome with their house sauce, highly recommend the house sauce. The bun was soft, the two thick patties 4oz were seared from outside and juicy inside, with crunchy bacon, melted cheese, the combo is just perfect with pickles and onions. 10/10.
Honbo 1.5 was also good too. Smaller patty yet still very juicy, 3 x 2oz patty, pickles, lots of cheese and the bun was soft. 10/10.
I highly recommend the sweet potato fries, crunchy outside and soft inside, heavy sweet potato flavor.
No more chain store for me after this one. Definitely will pay another visit very soon.
