I totally agree with tombillinge on this, I am a regular diner at Vegetarian Hut as it consistently provides value for money. The system is easy enough for even the most timid of non-Cantonese speakers to use, just pay the first person $37 and you'll receive a receipt. I have a few favourites, the orange pumpkin and yellow potato curry are almost always on my tray, the sweet, gingery softness of the pumpkin is just awesome and although I used to think the curry was a lame powdery version of real curry there is something ridiculously moreish about it and I now choose it every time. Both of these choices are also good to have in the compartment of the tray with the rice as the sauce makes the rice much more enticing. I also really like the lotus root with peanuts, the soft, grainy texture of the peanuts is always a treat.

Today is the first time I've tried the beans and they are indeed delightful, salty, slightly smokey, they taste as if they've been barbecued. On other days I might choose the dark red tofu cubes, omelette or greens, it's all really tasty. Ideally I would be able to choose four or five slightly smaller portions as it's so difficult to make up my mind!

The food court atmosphere is nothing special but that makes the food shine even more. It is rare to find top notch vegetarian food in a standard mall food court.
