If an owner's heart is filled with hatred, how do you think the food is? Answer: underwhelming and uninspired. Passing this place months ago, there was a sign stating they would not serve Chinese tourists. Discriminating against 1.3 billion is not cool to me under any context. Next to the No Chinese Tourist Allowed sign (due to Covid perhaps?) was a Free Hong Kong sign, using Covid as a thinly veiled excuse to discriminate. I wonder how the Chinese mothers and fathers explained to their children

Next to the No Chinese Tourist Allowed sign (due to Covid perhaps?) was a Free Hong Kong sign, using Covid as a thinly veiled excuse to discriminate. I wonder how the Chinese mothers and fathers explained to their children why they are not allowed in after reading the sign as they toured the island.  I don't care much for politics, but when you discriminate against masses of people, you are no better than the 'Whites only' restaurants back in the 1960s in the USA or No Irish Need Apply or discriminating against Jews leading to Holocaust. It's 2020 and I feel very sad for the owner to live with this hatred chewing him up. There are multiple bibles placed around the restaurant but the teaching of the Bible seems to be lost in translation. I did say a prayer for the owner before I left though. His heart is full of hatred and comes out in the mediocre bland food that is slopped on your plate. Unsurprisingly, the house coffee is old/stale also, which is disappointing as they market themselves as a coffee shop, obviously, there is not enough love to go around to put it in the coffee.. Needless to say, I did not remember this was the same restaurant with this sign when I dined recently and was very disappointed in myself that I supported this hatred on accident. Please do not make the same mistake as I did by supporting and reinforcing this discrimination by accident, go to a different place. FYI, if you do go, they don't present paper checks, so also make sure you double-check your amount as I have heard of a few instances of them overcharging people.....
