We were frequent visitors to this place for its executive semi-buffet lunch! Hadn't been here for a few months and it seemed that there were so much less food to eat at the same price! We didn't order the mains but just the buffet at a cost of $198+10% per head. There was a 25% off discount by booking on openrice. Very great value for money indeed at $164, and you will soon know why. When you entered the restaurant, you were welcome by the sashimi & sushi counter! Unfortunately, there was no longe

When you entered the restaurant, you were welcome by the sashimi & sushi counter! Unfortunately, there was no longer free flow of sashimi as the sashimi and sushi were served on separate small plates and they didn't refill the sashimi fast enough. The sashimi were pretty standard with salmon, tuna, octopus and 立魚. The quality of salmon and tuna was ok. Octopus was too hard while I didn't have the chance to eat 立魚.
Cold seafood was next to the sashimi and sushi counter. They were not attractive enough for me to try.
There was also a noodle bar at your own service.
There were two types of soup. One western and one Chinese. There were a few types of bread next to the soup counter, including very lovely black sesame bread.

There used to be a cheese platter with delicious blue cheese but it was no longer here. There was no more onsen eggs either. I only tried the pumpkin which was ok.

There was a simple salad bar. Fruits included water melons, Hami melons, melons and pineapples and were sufficient. The rocket and spinach were both quite fresh! The raw white mushrooms, which I hadn't never seen here before, were quite fresh!
Again, there were quite a number of hot dishes so that you don't really need to order the main course from the set. Some were good while some were bad.

The noodles seemed ok although I just ate the mushrooms. The broccoli and jade melons were ok. The stir-fried chicken was pretty tender with a good taste.

Deep-fried chicken sucked because the batter was too moist. The seafood curry was pretty good with pretty fresh seafood like crayfish, mussels, prawn and 翡翠螺 although it was a bit too spicy, yet the curry sauce was delicious. The deep-fried fish fillet was pretty good with crispy and thin batter. The beef in wine sauce was too rough and chewy.

The mussels in white red were pretty fresh, surprisingly good for a buffet like this. BBQ pork rib was tasty with the sauce but not so good texture-wise. The sausages dish wasn't attractive enough for me to try. The hash brown was tasty with crispy crust and the cherry tomatoes were ok.

There were HD chocolate, mango & raspberry, banana and vanilla ice cream in the fridge at your own service. Very very good! Unfortunately, there was no more strawberry which was my favourite. Some of the ice-cream cups were melting towards the end and they didn't refill the chocolate cups. Chocolate and even vanilla ice-cream were so good! Very great value for money indeed.
There was a frozen yoghurt machine at your own service with wild berry flavour. So bad there was no toppings but the yoghurt itself was tasty and great to cure your thirst.

There were quite some choices of cakes on the desserts table too.

I really like this iconic desserts plate! The desserts were quite good this time.
The blueberry cheesecake was ok, not bad!
The green tea red bean mousse cake was pretty good although there could have been more red beans.
The chocolate mousse cake was tasty and not overly sweet.
The chocolate brownie could have been better because it was not crunchy enough.
The creme brulee was very very smooth and delicious.
I didn't try the carrot cake.
There was one type of hot sweet soup, which was red date with 雪耳 and I didn't try.
There was also sweet tofu with toppings like sugar and red beans.
A standard coffee/tea was included in the lunch set.
Service was ok as the servers were quite busy running here and there. Finished plates/bowls were not collected timely enough. That said, it was acceptable.
Despite the cost-cutting especially regarding the sashimi/sushi/cheese platter, it was still quite a competitive lunch buffet with HD ice-cream cups, frozen yoghurt and reasonable hot dishes.
