I remember I used to come to CC Wu for class back then. Can't believe how much its shopping mall has changed over the years. The beef brisket was really succulent with a very soft and tender texture without taking much effort to tear the meat fibre off. The wontons are small in size just like those authentic ones from the past. The flat noodles are the type that I like with a less slimy texture. The noodle was a bit more soft but bounching instead of hard and chewy.

On the side, some fresh spring onion was provided on a spoon for you to add into the soup. On each table, red vinegar and chili paste were also provided for you to add more flavours into your soup noodles.

The beef meat balls were very generous in size and there are XXXXXX balls in a lunch serving size. I did try one beef ball and it was almost crunchy sharp in texture. The rich in beef flavour was a good match with the light and clear soup from the rice noodle. I would consider it as a healthier version of a bowl compared to my more evilish one.

You may pick two choices of the spicy dishes for a discounted price of $42. We have picked the beef stomach and OX tongue. Compared to the noodle bowls, the combo was surprisingly small in serving size, there was only three pieces each. Anyway, it should already satisfy our small appetite on a lazy Sunday.

We liked the OX tongue more because of its extremely soft texture. The thinly sliced OX tongue absorbed all the spicy sauce served on the side. The sauce wasn't too hot nor numbing so do not worry that it would kill your palette.

With every lunch set, you may enjoy a complimentary hot drink, or a cold drink with +$2 extra and special drink for ony +$6 extra.

The milk tea was on par while the red beans were quite hard in texture so it was super filling. I have ordered a less ice less milky less sweet version and they have made my drink exactly what I wanted. I really enjoyed this milk tea because of its aromatic strong tea flavour which could wake my lazy body up.

Iced salted lemon honey water (+$6)

My friend told me that it was the balance between the saltiness, sweetness and the sourness was just right in this drink. It should be great to promote appetite in this hot weather.
