Was wandering around Jordan looking for a good place to eat and came across this popular hotpot establishment. Wait time was pretty good this night as typically there are pretty long lines even though over the years they have slowly acquired the shops along the entire street to fill the demand. In typical hotpot fashion, the first thing we ordered was the soup base. I eat spicy…like quite spicy….so when the waitress asked what level of spicyness I wanted, I said medium……although she said most people get mild. We also ordered a whole chicken to be included initially in the hotpot. When the hotpot came, I was overcome with this wave of intense spicy aromas. After boiling for a little while, we dug in to get the chicken….and to my disappointment, the amount of chicken was minimal. We actually complained to the waiter saying it looked like they put in one quarter of a chicken instead of a whole one but of course he said one whole chicken was put in. Furthermore, it seemed only the fatty pieces of the chicken were included, resulting in us eating chicken that was half skin/fat. To satisfy our hunger we ordered fried fish skin, tofu, marbled beef slices, marbled beef cubes, fish skin dumplings, vegetables and straw mushrooms. Before I get into the ingredients, the spicy base was insanely hot (we ordered four bottles of water amongst three people…..with most of the water going into the soup base to dilute it!). In regards to the main items, the fish skin dumplings were amazing as you it was quite chewy with great texture, with the skin being not overly thick and the beef cubes were pretty damn good as well, with enough marbling to give you that great beef taste. Fried fish skin was extremely crunchy and served in large pieces and the tofu was great as it was able to soak up the broth once put inside. The table settings and the interior are pretty minimal but it was packed (quite a few people lined up). Waitress was very nice and catered to our needs.  Will come back again but will not order the whole chicken.
