Visiting Duck & Waffle on a sunny day brought so much joy, especially when my friend and I got two window seats, where we got to enjoy some nice food with a view. Our Restaurant Week lunch menu consisted of 3-course. My friend and I chose two different mains to share. The first one was this “Hara Bhara” Lamb Chops with smokey aubergine and mini yoghurt. The lamb chops were a bit ordinary, yet enjoyable. The smokey aubergine was the special point about this dish, definitely not to miss it!

And of course, we ordered the famous signature Duck & Waffle with confit leg, buttermilk waffle, fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup.

The waitress was very kind to offer helping us to remove the bone in the confit leg, and showed us the authentic way of enjoying the waffle to the fullest - slightly poke the yolk of duck egg, and pour the mustard maple syrup in it. Wow! Our minds were blown! We could never imagine enjoying the Duck & Waffle this way!
The duck egg was “upgraded” with mustard maple syrup in the yolk. The salt sprinkled on top added taste to the already very delicious egg. The waffle had a very crunchy surface, with fluffy inside. The confit leg was very yummy too! We love everything in this dish!

Dessert was this Black Sesame Sticky Toffee Pudding with burnt honey ice cream and sesame custard. It’s like a Chinese black sesame soup dessert with ice cream.

I thought too much about having too much waffle for main and dessert. This “Sticky Rice and Mango” Waffle was so good that I didn’t mind having waffles again after the main! The rice ice cream and crunchy puffed ice were very enjoyable! Fresh mango was quite sour though…
Highly recommend you to pay a visit to Duck & Waffle to try out this delicious waffle.
