Through our casual chat with the master sushi chef did we realize he was the last disciple of a famous Japanese chef in Hong Kong. He even showed us the sushi knife that his master gave it to him as memento.

First dish was appetizer, presented in a plate of moon's crescent. It consisted of eggplant jelly, snail and figs tempura. It was light and appetizing, a good start to our meal.

Steamed dish was done nicely, served hot and was very soft and smooth. There were crab meat, salmon roe, mushroom and gingko nuts in it. They were sweet and fresh in taste.

They served us a tray of side dishes to eat it along with the sushi, to help to clear our taste buds. They were crunchy and juicy.

One of us ordered nami lunch set, with the sushi mainly tuna, consisting of tuna, medium tuna and fatty tuna sushi. They were fresh and chewy, with the fatty tuna very fatty and oily, almost melting in my mouth.

Grilled tuna sickle sushi - It was grilled before serving, thus making it even oily and soft, very flavourful.

Tuna pickles roll - Tuna and pickles were used to wrap into the roll, with the chef very generous with the portion of tuna. It was chewy and meaty, with soy sauce provided to enhance the taste.

Another set will be heki, with 12 seasonal sushi of chef's choice. Given the price and the variety of sushi type given such as seafood and fish etc, it was very value for money. Their sushi were fresh and chewy, with no soy sauce needed to dip onto it, proofing their freshness.
