This little restaurant is not easy to find, if you are not living nearby the area in Kwai Fong... and this is also a long long time that I didn't take my folks out for a proper dinner, and so, pick somewhere near where they live. The Star Kitchen... When I first stepped inside the restaurant, I was surprised already... full house, and the set up is just very much family style.. But when the food came, we can tell the restaurant is different.. as all the dishes are made with heart... like this tomato cream soup... quite surprising to have this taste... not sour at all, but can feel the fresh tomato ...

And the Tomato slices, I just keep on taking it until the dish is clean... not special, but the taste was fresh and with the suitable amount of vinegar, it's really nice.

We have been recommended to try their famous oysters here... 3 from Korea and 3 from France, and I was again surprised to find that the Korean one was actually bigger in portion and more fulfilling in taste as well. Not too salty comparing to the French one, but with a bit of sweet taste. I really enjoyed it.

The French one, was a bit smaller, but it is salty and fresh too... the sea water taste...

We have ordered a rib-eye for the main, and with "medium" temperature, it was just perfect. Tender, and the pepper sauce didn't really take away the meat favour, leaving quite a juicy feeling overall.

And the dish decoration is also nice, good for eyes and mouth...

Special Dessert - Truffle Creme Brulee

The shop does not offer a full dessert menu, but they do have daily dessert and a special dessert. We picked the special one - truffle creme brulee, and it was another surprise. I can't really taste the truffle at first, but when I found the black colour truffle at the bottom, the whole dessert does fill with a mild and warm truffle taste... and the after-taste does stay long enough for you to have another spoon. I thought this is just a gimmick to put truffle in dessert, but after this round, I do believe that I will come back for this subtle and mild truffle dessert again soon. Very nice job.
