After a long day at work, wanted something good, but quick and easy. 9pm on a Thursday, Ootoya had a queue outside but Itacho was relatively empty so decided to check it out.

Choice of sitting at the counter or at a normal table and decided on the latter. The menu isn't all that comprehensive but the prices look cheap so you just mark the items you want on a piece of paper which you hand over to the wait staff.
However had to ask for tea and we didn't receive an oshibori either so they have some very basic service issues.

The food arrived promptly and it was actually very good! The portions are small, yet tasty. It ranged from very good (amaebi) to the very average (egg). And the reason why the prices appear cheap is that you generally only get 1 piece per serving. Typical chain restaurants provide two pieces on every plate.

Overall, it seems like you have to order quite a lot, and all those cheap servings starts to add up. But aside from the poor service, it was a good quality sushi dinner. Much better than genki sushi, I'll definitely return for more.
