I always want to try out this new Japanese Cafe, here comes the chance. My friend dated me to shopping and have a light dinner there. I've read the comments here already, so I won't have a high expectation of this cafe. We've ordered the following:
(1) King Taco Rice $83
I think it is a must order if you visit this cafe the first time. Because it is a signature dish of the restaurant. But if I come back this cafe, I will definitely order this taco rice again. I like the sauce, raw egg and salad mixed with the rice concept. And the taste is good too! Haven't tried this combination in other restaurnats before. My friend just didn't eat much. I think I just finished almost 2/3 of the dish.
(2) Crab Avocado Tartar $55
The portion is quite small. As you can see in the photo, they only give you 2 crispy things as a side dish. ha! Many avocado inside, but quite a big piece of them. I prefer those smahed avocado that gives a smoother texture. Not a strong taste of crab or neither the tartar sauce. Can't remember well the taste right after finished the dish. Won't recommend to order it~
(3) Orange Squash $55
Portion is quite large for the drink. They use a small bottle instead of a glass. Nice presentation. Inside the orange squash, they do have cranberries inside so makes the drink slightly redish. I have an expectation in this drink, as I've once saw the recommendation in a magazine and it looks nice to me. However, I was a bit disappoitned as it's rather tasteless to me. Of course, not totally tasteless, but it's not sweet enough and didn't have a strong taste of orange or cranberry. Maybe too much ice inside?
(4) Berry Mojito $60 (With alcohol)
Mr friend ordered it. Also servied with a small bottle. I forgot to ask her how is the taste.
Initally, we decided to order the pancake for dessert and were eager to try it out. However, as we glanced at the menu again, only to find that the pancakes are only avaliable before 18:00 ( I forgot the exact time). As we found the other desserts are not so attractive to us, we decide to have dessert later in other place. As the dishes here are not really good, I, personally, also don't have much intention to try their dessert.
