Since it was raining today and we could not do any outdoor sports, I decided to ask my parents out for dim sum. Grand Hill Taiwanese Restaurant was located at Kimberly Road, just beside Mira Place Tsim Sha Tsui. Even though it was a Taiwanese restaurant, it served a wide range of dim sum, Cantonese, Shanghai and Sichuan cuisine. They even have several items that are at half price during lunch period. Oyster omelette - It was served in a huge plate, with several oyster on top of the omelette. It was slightly oily, and was flavourful too. Omelette was soft and smooth.
Steamed shrimp dumpling with bamboo shoot - The skin was thin and smooth, and the shrimp inside was juicy and fresh.
Steamed minced pork bun - The skin was slightly thick and was served hot. Minced pork was chewy and flavourful.
Fired shrimp roll - It was fried till the skin was soft and crispy and the shrimp was juicy and chewy too, going well with the sauce provided.
Braised goose BBQ pork bun - The skin of the bun was toasted till soft and crispy, sweet as well. BBQ pork fillings was flavourful and chewy, hot as well.
Braised chicken - It was very flavourful and tasty, cooked till soft and smooth. It was slightly oily though.
Ginger tea sesame dumpling - Sesame dumpling was soft and smooth, with strong sesame taste and was sweet. Ginger tea was clear and refreshing, with strong ginger taste too.
Watermelon juice - It used real watermelon to squeeze, and was sweet and refreshing. It helped to quench my thirst.
