On a friday night at 8pm in soho, it is hard enough to find a seat in any restaurant, who would expect there would be seats available in little bao without queueing up. it happened. Normally they wont let you get the seats until everyone is here.. but i got lucky. i quickly grabbed the seat and asked my husband to rush down.i sat down and saw the plate. i just love it. Then i read the little line on the menu, ceramic by loveramic. No wonder why!we looked at the menu and not sure how much should

we looked at the menu and not sure how much should we ordered. we ordered a dumpling and two bao and see how we felt after.
we waited and waited. no food was served. then a staff asked us if we were ready to order? obviously they forgot to place the order. the staff was kind eough to offer us some drinks. we ordered a coke and a yona yona pale ale. My beer lover husbad didnt like the beer. He think it was weak and had no flavour.
Slow braised short rib panfried dumpling came first. the first impression is that it looked like japanese dumpling. when we had a bite.....
Wow! This is amazing. The beef filling is so soft and moist and juicy, and the flavor is so beautiful. Extremely tasty!
The bottom of the dumpling is done well, very crispy, but not oily. Beautiful food. but honestly, it costs $128, its quite expensive.
then we had the Pork Belly Bao
Cant really tell how nice the pork belly is... because i cut it in half, by chance i took the half with a piece of fat in it.... Mr. W took the half with the pork meat in it.. arghhhhhh. For me it's unbearable to eat the fat... the sauce is nice. The bun of the bao is really nice. I believer if i had the meat, the taste would be fantastic.
Lastly we had Beef bao @littlebaohk
Beef with tomato jam, cheddar cheese, onion seasame mayo and shiso. it tasted good, but not something remarkable.
the bun of the bao were both really excellant. its warm. Its fresh. Its soft. Its moist. To me, i think although the bun has not much flavour, it is as important as the filling. With a bun excellent like this, its a key to success. i am happy that they make it so well.
