This is one of those moments where I took a chance and bought something. And woah...I still dream of this place.

Boyfriend and I were in Tai Po, heading to a friend's place for a BBQ. We were waiting for another friend so we could all go in together. While we were walking around, I saw this line of people at this super small shop. What were they serving? Shanghai pastries. Things like dumplings, steamed meat buns and onion flatbreads.

It's such a small shop and the sign and everything is in Chinese. There is no English. It's all take away. There is no seating.

They make everything in this shop. You can even see the elderly guy just making those things like a man possessed.

We ordered a pork meat bun ($7). It was popped into a paper bag and was so hot, it literally hurt  my fingers when I touched it. It was so hot, I had to wait a while before I could bite into it.

The bun was soft with a nice crust on the bottom. It had a slight sweet taste. The pork meat was so juicy, the oil squirted out into the air when I bit into it.

Will be back if I'm in Tai Po. Definitely be back.
