Walking in mongkok and weather was hot, we decided to find a place to sit down and have afternoon tea. My friend said there's a new cat cafe nearby so we came to give it a visit.
For hygienic reasons, we were required to put on the disposable shoe covers and sanitize our hands with alcohol spray before entering. There were so many cats running and sleeping around. They're all cute and clean. They weren't cautious to human and allowed us to pet. My heart was melted seeing all those cuties!
For food, we ordered parmesan cheese french fries with mentaiko mayo, crab meat avocado tartare with toast and soft basque burnt cheese cake. For drinks, I picked grapefruit lemonade and my friend picked passionfruit lemonade.
Grapefruit lemonade was sweet and sour. It was frizzy enough and very suitable for summer. Recommend you to order this if you come, it was soooo refreshing. Soft basque burnt cheese cake was served with cream and frozen berries on side. It had a smooth texture and not too sweet, everything’s on right balance. However, frozen berries were way too cold, my teeth hurt when I bit into it. Next was the crab meat avocado tartare, it came with 4 small slices of bread which toasted to golden with a crispy texture. Tartare was well seasoned and creamy, overall combination was light and healthy for tea time. Move onto the french fries, it was fried perfectly. Crispy ouside, soft and mushy inside with melted parmesan on top which brought a salty cheesy flavour to it. Dipping with the pink mentaiko mayo gave it extra savouriness and spiciness.
To me, food served here is a surprise. Much better than what I expected. I'd definitely come back for both the food and cats!
