To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 這頓開年飯我們兩TEAM人大部份人都有出席,約有16個人吧。反正公司給了二千元的美心集團現金劵,我們就好好利用這二千大元,去了葵芳新都會的北京樓吃這開年飯。美心集團的貴價中菜遍佈全港,有數十品牌,幾百家分店,可說是總有一家在附近。這北京樓聽就聽得多,去我也是第一次去。簡單為幾道菜點點評,鍋貼和小籠包等的小吃非常多汁,餡料頗鮮甜有肉香,但無奈地我本身不太喜歡這類食品,我對此毫不感興趣。這道應該是糖醋黃魚之類(實際名稱不記得),連加一索價約$200大元,本以為份量不少,但到來卻只是一尾小小的黃魚,每人也分不到一塊。味道方面,魚肉酥脆,汁料非常香甜,甜甜酸酸般蠻開胃。醬油炒年糕有點像蠔皇炒年糕的味道,主要應該是用蠔油、生抽調味,老抽上色,不感特別。招牌菜北京填鴨,上菜前店員會先拿原隻鴨給我們看一看,我本以為份量不少,可是卻只是小小的一碟,沒什麼肉吃的。首先,麵片太厚太大塊,吃下去滿口也是麵粉味道,實屬失敗。鴨件本身沒有問題,味道正常,但麵片的sourcing請加以改善吧。
