Originally I planned to eat in a restaurant at the Pawn, unfortunately they were fully occupied. So I headed to Le Pain Quotidien which was the cafe I felt comfortable to sit with by myself.I had entered into the cafe and was directed to sit at the indoor large table by the window side. No one came to clear the glasses that was left over by the previous diners and the table was wet.When I was ready to make an order, I raised my hand and awaited for a waitress to come over and take my order. When I was ready to make an order, I raised my hand and awaited for a waitress to come over and take my order.
However, I had been waited and waited, while I could see the waitresses there passing by and there was actually one I was sure I had eye contacted with but she was just ignoring me.
This cafe is not that big I should say and there was no one noticing me while I was raising my hand for someone to take the order?! This was ridiculous!
After sitting there for more than 5 mins or even more, a Pakistan/Indian cafe manager finally noticed me and come to take the order.
I had order a Chicken curry & Cranberry Tartine and a small cappuccino. I told the waitress who delivered the cappuccino to me for some sweetener instead of brown sugar. She had nodded and I thought she will bring it over to me but again, I was sitting there and no one was following up my request. In the end, I had to get up from my seat and walked over to the cashier side to ask for it.
What kind of service was this and they did charge for a 10% service charge!
I was disappointed about the service of this cafe.
