I went to Delicious Eatery with a friend on October 17 (Sunday) at 2.45pm. When we arrived, there was only two other tables seated. We sat down and ordered two afternoon tea sets: scone of the day (costed around 60hkd) and a garlic bread (costed around 50 hkd). Because the sets came with a free drink, we both ended up ordering a drink each (a hot chocolate and a latte). After we ordered, a few more people sat down and the cafe got a bit busier. After we ordered, a few more people sat down and the cafe got a bit busier. After sitting for 30 minutes, nothing has arrived so we checked with the waiter why the wait time is so long. He then came back with our drinks. Note that the hot chocolate was just hot water mixed with hot chocolate powder (the powder was visible on the rim of the cup) so we were very annoyed why the drinks took so long to arrive.
We then asked where the food was. The scones are already pre-made and are visible at the counter. By this time, it was already 40 minutes since we ordered. The waiter explained that the chef heated up the wrong "cake" to which we explained we didn't order any cake. He then immediately corrected himself saying "scone" but there is only one type of scone. We needed to leave by then and asked to take the food to go. The waiter explained the food was still being "cooked" so we will need to wait. By this point, we were extremely frustrated and appalled by the terrible service. Other tables who came in after us got way more elaborate meals (such as pasta and salad) in comparison to our scone and garlic bread.
We asked for the bill and the waiter only cancelled the order for the scone, giving us an incorrect bill which included the garlic bread. We only noticed this after paying so we had to void that transaction to get a new one. Truth to be told, we would not have ordered the drinks alone if they did not come with the sets so we were very annoyed.
I would never ever come back to this cafe - there was absolutely no reason why such a simple pre-made dish such as a scone takes more then 40 minutes to "make". The waiters were not apologetic and made no attempt to remedy the problem.
