We really didn't have much expectation when walking in - after all it's a self-service style cafe with mostly pre-packed food on the menu. However the staff there just took poor service to a new low.We sat around an empty table expecting staff to come clean up the dishes left by the previous diners., and proceeded to order food at the service counter. When we came back after 5 minutes the the dirty dishes remained, so we called the staff to come collect them. One of them said "ok" but another 5
We sat around an empty table expecting staff to come clean up the dishes left by the previous diners., and proceeded to order food at the service counter. When we came back after 5 minutes the the dirty dishes remained, so we called the staff to come collect them. One of them said "ok" but another 5 minutes passed no one came. So we called them again. This time some young guy came and took the dishes, but left all the debris on the table (see picture). Then we called them a third time and the same guy came. He just brushed all of them on to the floor right next to our feet!
Food was ok - you really can't expect Michelin quality on all day breakfasts, chicken salad, etc. When food was ready one of the staff just carried them around the cafe and shouted the names of the dishes - some to no avail. Can they just simply give customers a number tag when taking orders then delivering to their tables or even asking customers to go pick them up at the counter, just like Olive's Super Sandwiches do?
Overall a bad experience even for basic food and services. If they think they can just open their door and treat their customers like trash and still make money they better relocate to some third world countries. Hong Kong is too good a place for them to keep operating!
If you are having a bad day and want to throw someone some punches then this is the place to go!
