Knowing that there is a popular Thai restaurant located at Causeway Bay, we decided to go try it out tonight. SAYAM Thai/Bar was located at Yee Wo Street, couple of minutes walk from Causeway Bay MTR. Their decor was modern and chill, with ample spacing between tables, allowing us to sit comfortably. Their menu was comprehensive, offering soup, salad, snacks, skewers, platters, curry, seafood, meat, vegetables, rice or noodles, drinks and desserts.   We ordered 2 mocktails, namely virgin thaijit

We ordered 2 mocktails, namely virgin thaijito and virgin taste of maya. Virgin thaijito was mixed with lychee juice, lime, Thai mint and soda. It was gassy and refreshing, with lychee meat juicy and sweet in taste. Virgin taste of maya was mixed with orange, pineapple, butterfly pea flower and sprite. It was sweet and cooling, with strong orange and pineapple taste.

Broccoli & cauliflower - I seldom ate these vegetables but this time round it was cooked nicely. It was cooked with shrimp paste, spicy sauce, garlic and belachan sauce, thus it was slightly spicy and flavourful, and was chewy and soft.

Seafood platter - We pampered ourselves by ordering the most expensive item on the menu, which consisted of whole squid, tiger prawn, scallop and green papaya salad. Green papaya salad was crunchy and juicy, very appetizing. Squid was chewy, scallop was sweet and fresh and tiger prawn was juicy and charred in taste.

Tom yum fried rice with prawns - The chef was generous with the portion, with a huge tiger prawn placed on top. Tiger prawn was grilled till chewy and charred, fresh in taste. Rice was fried till flavourful and chewy, not too sticky.
