It is actually not my first time dining here yet I think I want to let more people know about this fabulous Shanghaiese shop. This shop is famous for its Dan Dan Noodle and you can order different sides for the noodle. I ordered Dan Dan Noodle with Braised Pork and a Sauced Black Fungus today.Dan Dan Noodle with Braised Pork ($46 - including Drink during Lunch time)As a Shanghaiese food lover, this is basically one of the best Dan Dan noodle that I have had in Hong Kong. Dan Dan Noodle with Braised Pork ($46 - including Drink during Lunch time)
As a Shanghaiese food lover, this is basically one of the best Dan Dan noodle that I have had in Hong Kong. This is the kind with a thicker texture because of the use thick peanut sauce. The spiciness is optimal and it matched well with the peanut sauce which form a perfect resonance in taste - neither one is too overwhelming. The braised pork (there are other options like deep-fried pork/ minced pork/ chicken in wine sauce) is a highlight here. The pork is well soaked in the sauce. Even though the sauce is not too thick, its saltiness mixes well with the good choice of pork.

Sauced Black Fungus ($23)
There are garlic, spring union and vinegar in the sauce. The black fungus tastes good with a slight bit of spiciness.
This restaurant is small yet cozy. Normally it would be quite crowded during lunch time and early dinner time, you may have to wait for 5 or 10 minutes. However, I guess this is a very good Shanghaiese restaurant with high quality food, especially the price is not too high. Some may concern about the hygiene in the store - it is small and I guess it is the best that a small shop could do already. The decor (as there is basically no decors at all) is simple yet practical and it is a place for good food, not instagramable pics. Also, the shop owners are nice with very good service.
