i came back to HK tryin to look for PHO that can compare to the ones I had. I went thru Kota disappointment until I found The Vietnam Woods. I came here around 1 pm on Sunday, waited for 5 mins to get a table. The design of the restaurant was modern, with dark woods contrasting the white decoractions. I felt very comfortable. I ordered the traditional Vietnamese beef pho. there is a Vietnamese beef pho delux set. Instead of having all the ingredients I'm a bowl, the delux set came in with a tray, beef placed on a separate place, and a mini hot pot thing forum to cook the beef instead of the bowl of noodles.  But I just got the simple one instead (around 70?) , which was ard $20 dollars cheaper than the delux.

I always tried the soup first as it is the essence of Vietnamese pho. soup was awesome !! comparable to the one I had back in USA! soup was not too thick, saltiness was just right. I loved the reddish which had all the rich flavors of the soup. the beef was very yummy too! and the restaurant offerd a generous slices of beef! yay!  ( trust me, Ive been to restaurants that only served 2-3 slices of beef in their pho... :/)

the only drawback was the minty drink that I ordered. the picture on the menu totally mismatched the real drink. it was served in a glass of water, plus lots of green food coloring that saturated at the bottom. after mixing, the drink turned out with color of mouthwash, and after tasting it, it really did turn out tasting like one.:/

although the drink was a disappointment but I highly, HIGHLY recommend u to try the beef pho!!!! seriously it is the best one I've had ever since I came to HK
