I've driven pass this hotel many times but it was my first time visiting and didn't realized what a great view it had of the ICC across the Victoria Harbour. I came here for the free flow happy hour and it was certainly splendid sipping on champagne while unwinding after work.
It would have been boring to just drink champagne without some canapés so this bouquet of Salmon Mousse Cone was perfect to nibble on with the bubbly!
We also snacked on the Eggplant and Mascarpone with roasted eggplant and olive oil caviar in the black spoon and Tuna Tataki with seared tuna and Piquillo pepper in the white spoon.
The Shrimp Skewers with salsa and grilled asparagus was light and refreshing to eat.
My favorite canape of the night had got to be this Duck Habana Cilindro which was a duck spring roll shaped like a cigar complete with poppy seed to mimic the appearance of ash at the ends! Besides the gorgeous presentation, the spring roll was perfectly crispy while flavorful but not too oily.
