First time here after they moved to this new location, also in Kennedy town, I was so tempted by the new shop’s beautiful interior design, especially the window seat at the corner, I specially requested that spot when I made the booking, it was lovely! I remember I liked the food from their old shop, and their menu seems remain unchanged.. what we ordered: -White Onion Soup, Chives-Clams in Shellfish Broth. White wine and leeks- Chicken Liver Mousse, Apricot Jelly- beef tartare - Lobster Linguin

-White Onion Soup, Chives
-Clams in Shellfish Broth. White wine and leeks
- Chicken Liver Mousse, Apricot Jelly
- beef tartare
- Lobster Linguine
- Roasted Whole Chicken, Peas (with potatoes as sides )
- Creme Caramel
- Freshly Baked Madeleines, Chocolate Mousse
We thought the onion soup would be the ones topped with cheese, turns out it was just the regular plain onion soup.. a bit disappointed..
Their signature clams and seafood linguine were as good as usual, the soup of the clams was so flavourful, i dip the soup with the bread, they paired well perfectly .
the beef tartare was just ok.. the fries were not crispy enough..
Everything was actually up to standard, the only thing that let down the most was the chicken! It was super duper dry, dryer than Amber Heard’s fake crying eyes 😂 so disappointed with this dish, I thought it’s suppose to be one of their signature dishes? It was not juicy at all, not even the thighs..
the potatoes were pretty good tho 😆 won’t recommend the chicken personally.. their sister restaurant @trattoriapiccolo.hk which right next door did a lot better job in both food and services .. their chicken was wayyyyy better.. 😅
Love the madeleines as usual, must save room for this as dessert..
Overall, I would still consider BDV as a decent little french bistro in terms of the nice decor and cozy ambiance.. just skip the chicken then would be fine..
