I’m sure many of us must have heard about the fact that this isn’t the real Kyoto Matcha An from Kyoto. Located with the Art Mall K11, the matcha cafe is on the second floor next to an infamous Japanese okonomiyaki restaurant. There are tea bags, cookies and other confectioneries in front and a clean and neat sitting area at the back.
The menu listed a few options of matcha or hojicha soft serve, jelly, parfait etc. We opt for a Hojicha parfait, composed of a layer of milk custard, some lovely rice krispies, soft whipped cream, matcha sponge, hojicha jelly; and finally, swirls of hojicha ice cream, dango and red bean paste. The whole thing is nicely blended together and enjoyable.
