Good people,The Stanley Restaurant has a litteral descriptive name that is typical of the Chinese Culture. This restaurant is for everybody, and everybody seems to go there, the locals recognise good value. It is always lively and active and there are legions of staff eager to take your order. The Stanley Restaurant has a litteral descriptive name that is typical of the Chinese Culture. This restaurant is for everybody, and everybody seems to go there, the locals recognise good value. It is always lively and active and there are legions of staff eager to take your order. The menu is in English with pictures! Any visitor to Stanley who is looking for an authentic Chinese meal in an an authentic setting can be happy with the easy menu with accurate pictures. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken and was rewarded with enough food to satisify my 100kg body. The chicken pieces were all chicken, made from the breast meat with no bones or gristle, and were soft and tender. The meal was served so hot that it was boiling on the plate. The shrimp wonton noodles are warm and nourishing and serve as a great comfort food. There were about 5 wontons in the serve, which is expected for the price, so the wanton noodles are good value. The wantons have a delicate flavour with a hinting of garlic - I prefer spicy so I added some chili which is generously provided at the table.
The simple and effective hot-lemon-water is the perfect end to the meal.
I will return again and again.
