Have wanted to try ever since he has opened, but there is always no point to go if you are going late as all the cakes would be gone! But today, went into Kowloon Bay abit earlier just to try. Got there round half 2, it is near Quarter Cookies place. When I got there, there was also a queue but like me all the girls in there all had a smile on their face. It is the magic of Tony Wong.
Simple interior of the shop not as big as Fine Foods, Quite crowdy and not served fast enough. As it is quite small, you dont get to see the cakes til it is your turn.
I bought 6 in total and was 220 hk dollars, quite expensive but definately worth it. Brightened up my day without even tasting it!!!!
2 Choc triffle - I have tasted the SIGNATURE Choc truffle before from fine food but I had a whole bday cake. It tasted slightly different. I could taste Ferroro rocher as before I couldnt taste that. And it was abit too sweet. What I liked about it from Fine food was, it wasnt so sweet. But this time it is too sweet, and the base is not as crunch as it used to be.
As I went to eat lunch before I go home. The Choc Truffle melted so for anyone out there, Do go straight home and fridge it.
Green tea Opera. - I must say the Green tea Opera looks Gorgeous, with layer of green tea and brown chocolate. I regret only buying one piece. I love how you can taste the individual layer as it melts in your mouth, but goes so well together. Rich green tea flavour. I would recommend this for any Green Tea lover like me!
raspberry Napoleon- there were a few sort of napoleon to choose from, strawberry, cherry Mango and raspberry, but the raspberry napoleon grabbed my attention. the other were long and oblong shaped like many traditional napoleon but the raspberry was round and much more taller. i wasnt hoping it to be that good, as i ate it next day. i would have expected it to be all soggy, but to my surprise it was still very crunchy. only a few raspberry was a good thing as it would cover the tasted of teh pastry and the cream. definaly would get another one enext time.
I did not try the Cheese cake til 2 days later. So it has been sitting in my fridge for 2 days. The texture isnt as smooth as I expected it to be. I actually think the cheesecake I tried at 太子餅店 in 太古 is more rich in texture and much more creamier. I was quite disappointed in this cheesecake.
