We  had some $100 gift vouchers for all branches of  Menya Musashi and we decided to use up a few of them. I had the Tora Tail Tsukemen ($80). There is a choice of three soups (red, black and white). I chose the white broth which was basically a very thick pork tonkatsu. It was fairly sweet and savory. The noodles were interesting as well as they were ridged. This made the soup cling to the noodles very well. Whenever I have tsukemen, I usually have a lot left over but not here. Almost all my soup was gone, clinging to the noodles very well. The charshu was seared and glazed so it was very sweet. The egg had a nice runny yolk. The sausage was ok but it could have been seared more.

We  added a Slow Cooked Chashu ($20) to share. This was served separately. The chashu was ok. Soft and tender. Lightly marinated.

Boyfriend had the Marinated Pork White Tora Ramen ($79). The soup here wasn't as good as the tsukemen one. A bit more weak in flavour. The chashu was one slice and not too much flavour as well. The noodles were different as they had no ridges. A smooth noodle that was chewy. Possibly the only good thing about this bowl.

Only the tsukemen tasted better than the regular soup version.  Portions are big. The sausage was a bit odd but at least I liked it enough. Not a great bowl of ramen but at least we had cash vouchers as what we paid was exactly how much it is worth.
