Have tried Bingsu once in Korea and have been searching for similar shaved ice desserts in Hong Kong since then. I was so excited to know from my friends that there is a new dessert cafe at harbour city offering Korean Bingsu. I have decided to pay a visit last Sunday and it was as amazing as the one I have tried in Korea ;) The cafe is located at an open area near Uniqlo, which is quite hidden, and we spent quite some time searching for it.We ordered two Bingsu-Injeoimi Snow Ice ($68)Injeoimi B
We ordered two Bingsu-
Injeoimi Snow Ice ($68)
Injeoimi Bingsu is definitely my all-time favorite. Injeoimi is a Korean rice cake coated in sweet bean powder. It's also one of the best selling flavor in Korea Bingsu shops.
Unlike typical bingsu, can probably tell from its name, the ice is shaved so thin and light like snow. The ice is so snowy that it instantly melts in your mouth. And unlike typical shaved ice, its made from frozen milk which makes the whole dessert smooth and sweet.
The milky bingsu matched perfectly with the sweet bean powder and chewy rice cake- this healthy and light dessert had brightened my day.
Green tea red bean snow ice ($85)
Haven't tried a Green tea flavored Snow ice before and was truly amazed by it. The shaved ice made from a very rich and strong frozen green tea- must try if you are a big fan of green tea desserts!
