It’s my second visit to Hana, and my first lunch visit. There is always a queue outside and booking services are not available. My friend left his name at 12 to line up and we got a call that table was available at 12:45. Perfect time for lunch. I enjoyed a main and a drink under the relaxing environment, including the indoor design and appropriate pacing of the staff and customers. I had the vegetarian pasta, which was made with button mushroom, zucchini, baby spinach, pistachios and handmade pappardelle. It was beautifully presented with the pistachio and grated cheese sprinkled on top. It is mildly flavoured. It is a healthy choice.
House blend- Green tea latte $55
Koyamaen matcha was used, which is highly appreciated. Matcha is a powered green tea containing 137 times more antioxidants than brewed green tea by consuming the entire leaf. I have been fascinated by the wide use of matcha in dessert and drinks. Again, beautifully presented with the matcha to be mixed manually by customers. I enjoy seeing the colur change mindfully.
Comfort meal- Dutch pancake $98
It is what my friend had. The ‘oversized’ pancake was topped with homemade ham, apple, cinnamon, cranberries. Served both savoury and sweet on a hot skillet, it tasted heavenly good and I would recommend it to all.
