After hiking on a fine day, I would like to have some lighter food near our home.Hubby suggested Brooklyn. The salad bar immediately gained my attention once I arrived at the shop, so let’s go! Different from the a la carte menu they served in the past, Brooklyn now serves dinner menu with one main dish with unlimited salad bar.
The salad bar was superb! Kale with apples and cranberries, various kinds of lettuce, spicy cauliflowers, roasted beetroots, pumpkins & sweet potatoes, potatoes with herbs, bread, cheese, and about 6 kinds of dressing - classic caesar, Italian, sesame, vinegar, buttermilk, and the rest I can’t remember. There were also veggie soup, mushroom soup, fries with truffle, truffle potato wedges and deep-fried chicken pops at the bar. All are very delicious.
The main I had was soft shell crab tacos, which were spicier than before (I prefer a less spicy version) but still good. Hubby’s honey-glazed chicken was good, but the creamy rice that went with it was without much seasoning.
No drinks were included in the set.
Overall the main dishes were not as good as before but the salad bar was satisfying.
