All the tart type of Maxim had crunchy crust with quite dense sponge cake and I like the crunchy texture of the buttery crust. The flavor of the following three tarts were average but I would say that French hazelnut tart ($12) was the best among the three because there were quite a lot of hazelnuts sitting atop which contributed nutty flavor and intensified the crunchy texture. The flavor of the following three tarts were average but I would say that French hazelnut tart ($12) was the best among the three because there were quite a lot of hazelnuts sitting atop which contributed nutty flavor and intensified the crunchy texture. For the Hazelnut French tart ($12), it was actually very alike with French hazelnut tart but it was less nutty. The new cheese tart ($8)was very light cheesy with a layer of sweet glaze on top. I could say that it was good for filling the belly but not a good choice for sweet treats.
