The shisha is not bad, drink selection is pretty good and reasonably priced. The vibe and decor reminds me of RA (where Elia is now). It was a pretty fun night, and the bartender gave us free shots not just once but twice. Unfortunately when the bill came we saw that they charged us for one set of the shots. I immediately protested but the waitress insisted that only one set of the shots were free, that they can only give free shots once, and that WE had ordered the second round of shots... but
Unfortunately when the bill came we saw that they charged us for one set of the shots. I immediately protested but the waitress insisted that only one set of the shots were free, that they can only give free shots once, and that WE had ordered the second round of shots... but we definitely didn’t.
It was getting late, I didn’t want to miss the last train home and I had a long day and was just not in the mood to argue. So I just decided to pay for the shots but I already knew then and there that I would never come back.
When we left the manager who was standing outside was really nice and chatted with us for a bit. It was then I decided I might as well tell him what happened. Not even to get my money back because I was done and didn’t care, but I just wanted to tell him it was not cool for them to trick customers like this. He seemed genuinely sorry and to be fair it was probably not his fault since he didn’t know what was going on inside the restaurant but he did say that next time we’ll get 50% off and that he’ll waive the $200 off our bill. Though I doubt he’ll even remember us and even if he did, who knows if they’ll pull the same trick again. He gave us one more free shot as well.. which is quite funny because maybe he thinks one free shot with barely any alcohol in it will make me feel better about paying an extra $200 for no reason...
